Situated within an old farm courtyard and bakery, the 3-star guesthouse (classified by “Gites of France”) is an extremely comfortable space for 4 people.
It includes a 500 m private garden, a sitting room, a kitchen with utensils, a toilette with a sink, and a terrace with a “salon de jardin” and a barbecue pit. On the second floor, there is another bathroom with a bathtub, a bedroom with a bed (160X200), and an additional bedroom with two beds (90X200), that can be put together to form one large bed.
You can also visit the lovely French park behind the chateau.
The Sitting Room
The sitting room is a part of an old bakery in the farm’s courtyard; you can still see the old bread ovens. More modern conveniences have been added to help you spend an enjoyable evening. The television has TNT ( Télévision Numérique Terrestre) and includes a DVD player. Games for all ages can be provided! Two new armchairs, a sofa with cushions, and a small bass table decorate the room.
Big enough to comfortably host 4-6 people, the kitchen contains the following utilities: 1 refrigerator w/freezer, 1 dishwasher, 1 microwave, 1 electric oven, 1 ceramic stove , 1 crepe maker, 1 service à reclette, 1 chaine hifi, and enough utensils for at least 6 people.
A floor to ceiling window provides a lovely view of the courtyard of the chateau. There is also a doorway, which gives access to a southern terrace at the back of the building in a gated private garden.
You will also find a booklet that contains information on the region, beautiful trails to explore, and interesting sites to see.
The Blue Room
On the second floor, the first room on the right just before the bathroom contains two beds (90 m) that can be adjoined to form one large bed, a wooden bureau, and an armoire. The southward facing window looks out upon the forest of Bonnemare behind the guesthouse.
Linens for meals and tableware can be supplied, but are not included in the price.
On the first floor between the two bedrooms, a large bathroom includes a toilet, a bathtub/shower, a sink, a cupboard for storage, a washing machine, a dryer, a hairdryer, an iron w/ an ironing board, a table à langer, a radiator, and a towel-dryer.
The bathroom, like the two bedrooms, faces the south giving this floor plenty of natural light, and a lovely view of the forest.
Towels and Washcloths available upon demand
Accessible from the kitchen and dining room, the terrace contains a paved walkway, a decorated garden area ( table, 6 chairs, 2 deck chairs), and a barbecue. The private enclosed garden of 500m is a perfect space for your children to play under your close supervision. Beyond the garden is a prairie, which separates the guesthouse from the forest of Bonnemare. Sometimes in the evening, you can see the roe deer…but only with a little patience and absolute silence!
